On This Day - November 12, 1952. The Trans Oceanic Airways Short S.45 Solent Mk 3 flying boat VH-TOD 'Somerset' operated its last passenger service. It was then withdrawn from service and stored at Sydney (Rose Bay) until it was sold in April 1953. |
