The Douglas C-47-DL VH-AEO, acquired by the Department of Civil Aviation on July 10, 1944, was transferred to Trans-Australia Airlines. It was named 'Cunningham'. At the time of its transfer to T.A.A. the aircraft had flown some 7,383 hours.

The Virgin Blue Boeing 737-81Q VH-VOI 'Blue Bambino' arrived at Brisbane having completed its delivery flight from the United States (Seattle) via Christchurch (New Zealand) as Flight DJ9073. Whilst at Christchurch the aircraft was fitted with winglets during its pre-service maintenance.

On This Day - June 18, 2004.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-238ER VH-EAN 'Alice Springs' operated its final passenger service as Flight QF494 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). All Qantas titles and logos were then removed before the aircraft before it departed Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on June 25, as Flight QF6019, for the United States (California / Victorville) for storage and eventual sale.

The ex Virgin Blue Boeing 737-81Q VH-VOI departed Christchurch (New Zealand) on its ferry flight to the United States (Dallas / Texas) in the China Southern livery, in preparation for its next lease.

The Qantas Foundation Memorial Ltd's Boeing 707-138B VH-XBA 'City of Melbourne' was officially decommissioned at the Qantas Founders Outback Museum at Longreach (Queensland). This aircraft, the Qantas Airways Boeing 707-138 VH-EBA 'City of Melbourne' had flown a total of 61,909 hours 04 minutes with 23,618 cycles.

The Qantas Airways Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGB 'City of Kalgoorlie' operated its final revenue service, operating Flight QF464 from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). It was then sold to Cargo Aircraft Management Inc, USA.
