Jost for Qantas Airways at Seattle (Boing Field) - February 10, 1965 This was the 14th Boeing airliner delivered new to Qantas Airways It was the 14th Boeing 707 delivered to Qantas Departed Seattle (08:34 local) on the delivery flight to Australia (Captain A. A. E. Yates) - February 13, 1965 It arrived at Sydney (Kingsford Smith - 14:00 local) on completion of the delivery flight - February 15, 1965 Flight time: 15 hours 47 minutes Delivery route: Seattle - Honolulu - Nadi - Sydney The aircraft was named 'City of Parramatta' It operated its first revenue service Sydney (Kingsford Smith) - London via Kangaroo Route - March 19, 1965 Departed Sydney for Ontario, California for modification by Lockheed Air Service - March 16, 1966 Ferried Ontario - Mexico City on completion of work to operate the regular return service - April 05, 1966 Departed Sydney for Mexico City, thence to Wichita for modification by Boeing - July 24, 1967 The aircraft was fitted with new Doppler Navigation Equipment Ferried Wichita - Sydney (Kingsford Smith) on completion of the work by Boeing - August 24, 1967 Returned to service - September 03, 1967 Departed Sydney (10:03 local) on the last Qantas QF582/583 service to Mexico City - November 27, 1967 It operated the first Sydney - New York freighter service as QF950 - May 29, 1970 It transported the Qantas Avro 504 Dyak Sydney (Kingsford Smith) - Melbourne (Essendon) - June 22, 1970 It operated the inaugural Sydney - London service via Perth - Bombay as QF7 - March 29, 1974 Departed Sydney for Hong Kong for overhaul and sale to Singapore Airlines - July 16, 1974 The aircraft had flown 29,212 hours with 18,244 cycles Cancelled from the Australian Aircraft Register - August 22, 1974 Sold to Singapore Airlines - September 1974 Entered onto the Singapore Aircraft Register as 9V-BFW - ?
