On This Day - May 27, 1970. The Trans-Australia Airlines Vickers Viscount 756 VH-TVH was sold to Sims Metals for scrapping. The aircraft had not flown since December 30, 1968. It was broken-up on-site at Melbourne (Essendon) with the parts then trucked to the Sims Metal yard. |
