On This Day - May 14, 1970. The Ansett Douglas DC-9-31 VH-CZG was involved in an attempted hijacking at Sydney (Kingsford Smith). A young male passenger entered the cockpit armed with a toy gun and demanded that the aircraft depart immediately. He left the aircraft some 30 minutes later before being arrested and charged. |
