The Qantas Airways Boeing 747-238B VH-EBA was rolled out at Sydney (Kingsford Smith) in the Air Lanka livery. The aircraft was now named 'King Ijijaway' (King of Vijaya).

Following the financial collapse of Ansett Australia, the Boeing 737-377 VH-CZF was sold to the Dart Group Plc for operation by Channel Express (Air Services) UK. The aircraft had flown 42,745 hours with 30,713 cycles.
