On This Day - January 18, 1992. Eastwest Airlines introduces Boeing 727-200 equipment on the Sydney-Coolangatta route. The aircraft VH-ANE is operated in full Eastwest livery and configured to seat 164 passengers in an all-economy layout. Eastwest will operate three different Boeing 727-200s before they are returned to the standard Ansett livery.
