On This Day - December 18, 1977. The Qantas Airways Boeing 707-338C VH-EAB 'Winton' operated its final passenger service, operating Flight QF352 from Christchurch to Sydney (Kingsford Smith). The aircraft had a special 'Have A Qantastic Christmas' livery, and it was the first time that advertising had been carried on the fuselage of a Qantas aircraft. It was withdrawn from service having flown 34,274 hours and 11,882 cycles. |
