VH-EAG. Qantas - the official opening of the Qantas Pacific Service at Sydney Airport, May 15, 1954. The Minister for Civil Aviation Mr H.L. Anthony is at the microphone. Mrs Anthony who is seated nearest to him on the dias, cut the ribbon which released the aircraft to commence the flight. Sir Hudson and Lady Fysh are seated on the immediate left of Mrs Anthony.
